B2B Webinar Benchmark Report 2024

This year’s report dives into the evolving world of webinars as audiences increasingly demand video-first content.

Explore the insights and benchmark scores in this report to refine your webinar strategy and deliver experiences your audience will love.

We analyzed over 6,000 webinars over the past 10 months, and one thing was crystal clear: how you deliver your content is just as important as the content itself. In fact, the webinar platform, the experience, and the engagement—all of it—matters.
Think of it like this: receiving a handwritten letter vs. getting an email. The message might be the same, but the impact? Completely different.

We also analyzed the behavior of more than 2.8 million guests engaging with Communique-powered experiences and found that the biggest differentiator in performance came from how the content was delivered during webinars.

Here’s a summary of the key findings.

Live Webinars are More Effective vs. Pre-Recorded Live

There are two types of webinars:

  1. Live: This is when you host your webinar in front of a live audience.
  2. Pre-recorded live or simulive: When you pre-record your webinar ahead of time and then play the recording to your audience on a schedule day and time as if it’s live. Attendees can answer polls, ask questions, and engage during the event. The presenter(s) can answer questions live at the end. Note that pre-recorded webinars are different from on-demand webinars. They’re meant to give the feel of the live event without having the speakers present

Live webinars are by far the crowd favorite, and we think the trend will continue in 2025. People are energized by live events and the chance to engage with hosts, presenters, and other attendees.
